(18) بَابُ ذِكْرِ كَتَبَةِ الْحَسَنَاتِ بِالْمَشْيِ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ
18| Recording good deeds for walking to prayer
Hadith 1492
نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِذَا تَطَهَّرَ الرَّجُلُ ، ثُمَّ مَرَّ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ يَرْعَى الصَّلاةَ ، كَتَبَ لَهُ كَاتِبُهُ ، أَوْ كَاتِبَاهُ ، بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ ، وَالْقَاعِدُ يَرْعَى لِلصَّلاةِ كَالْقَانِتِ ، وَيُكْتَبُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ ، مِنْ حَيْثُ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ "
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "When a person performs ablution and, intending to pray, walks towards the mosque, the recording angel writes ten good deeds for each step he takes towards the mosque. And the one who sits waiting and preparing for the prayer is like one who is engaged in worship with humility and devotion. He is counted among the worshippers from the time he leaves his house until he returns."
