(17) بَابُ ذِكْرِ فَرَحِ الرَّبِّ تَعَالَى بِمَشْيِ عَبْدِهِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ مُتَوَضِّيًا
17| Allah's joy at His servant walking to the mosque with ablution
Hadith 1491
نَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، نَا شُعَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَتَوَضَّأُ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُحْسِنُ وُضُوءَهُ وَيُسْبِغُهُ ، ثُمَّ يَأْتِي الْمَسْجِدَ لا يُرِيدُ إِلا الصَّلاةَ فِيهِ ، إِلا تَبَشْبَشَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ كَمَا يَتَبَشْبَشُ أَهْلُ الْغَائِبِ بِطَلْعَتِهِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among you performs a complete and perfect ablution, then comes to the mosque solely for the purpose of offering prayer, Allah Almighty becomes as pleased with his coming as the family of a person who was absent (due to travel or similar reasons) becomes pleased upon his return."
