(5) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْحَضِّ عَلَى شُهُودِ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ وَالصُّبْحِ
5| Encouragement to attend Isha and Fajr prayers
Hadith Q1475
وَلَوْ لَمْ يَقْدِرِ الْمَرْءُ عَلَى شُهُودِهِمَا إِلَّا حَبْوًا عَلَى الرُّكَبِ
Even if a man is only able to attend these two prayers by crawling on his knees.
Hadith 1475
نَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " وَلَوْ عَلِمُوا مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ لأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If people knew the reward and virtue of the ‘Isha and Fajr prayers, they would surely attend them even if they had to crawl on their knees."
