(718) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْمَنْزِلِ بَعْدَ الرُّجُوعِ مِنَ الْمُصَلَّى
718| Recommendation to pray at home after returning from the prayer place
Hadith 1469
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، نَا أَبُو مُطَرِّفِ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّقِّيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لا يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ حَتَّى يَطْعَمَ ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ صَلَّى لِلنَّاسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، فَإِذَا رَجَعَ صَلَّى فِي بَيْتِهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَكَانَ لا يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الصَّلاةِ شَيْئًا "
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would not go (to the Eid prayer place) on the day of Eid al-Fitr without eating something. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) would go, he would lead the people in two rak'ahs, then when he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned home, he would perform two rak'ahs in his house. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not perform any (nafl) prayer before the (Eid) prayer.
