(682) بَابُ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى لِصَلَاةِ الْعِيدَيْنِ،
682| Going out to the prayer place for the two Eid prayers
Hadith Q1430
وَالدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ صَلَاةَ الْعِيدَيْنِ تُصَلَّى فِي الْمُصَلَّى لَا فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ، إِذَا أَمْكَنَ الْخُرُوجُ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى
And the explanation of the evidence that when it is possible to go to the Eid ground, the Eid prayers should be performed only at the Eid ground, and not in the mosques.
Hadith 1430
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبَانَ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَضْحًى أَوْ فِطْرٍ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ "
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went towards the Eid ground on the day of Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr, led the companions in the Eid prayer, and then returned.
