(680) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ أَكْلِ التَّمْرِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ الْغُدُوِّ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى
680| Recommendation to eat dates on Eid al-Fitr before going to the prayer place
Hadith 1428
نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُفْطِرُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى تَمَرَاتٍ ، ثُمَّ يَغْدُو "
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would eat a few dates on the day of Eid al-Fitr and then proceed (towards the Eidgah).
