Hadith Q1247
Although eating before going to the Eid prayer ground is permissible, and there is no harm or sin upon the one who eats.

Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us after the prayer on the day of Eid al-Adha. Sayyiduna Abu Burdah bin Niyar (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted, “O Messenger of Allah, I slaughtered my goat before the prayer and also ate from it.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Your goat is just a goat for meat. (It is not a sacrifice.)” And the rest of the hadith was narrated. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I have mentioned this hadith in the Book of Sacrifices.
