جماع أبواب صلاة الاستسقاء وما فيها من السننChapters on Rain Prayer and its Sunnahs
(665) بَابُ اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ لِلدُّعَاءِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ لِلِاسْتِسْقَاءِ، وَتَحْوِيلِ الْأَرْدِيَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ.
665| Facing the qiblah for supplication before the rain prayer and turning the cloak before the prayer
Hadith 1411
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، نَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ إِلا فِي الاسْتِسْقَاءِ " . قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : قُلْتُ لِثَابِتٍ : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ ؟ قَالَ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، قُلْتُ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : وَفِي خَبَرِ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ قَدْ أَمْلَيْتُهُ قَبْلُ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not raise his hands in any supplication except in the prayer for rain. Imam Shu’bah says: I asked Thabit, “Did you hear this hadith from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him)?” He replied, « سُبْحَانَ اللَٰه » (What an astonishing thing!). I asked, “Did you hear this hadith from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him)?” He replied, « سُبْحَانَ اللَٰه » (What an amazing thing!).” Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: In the narration of Ma’mar from Imam Zuhri, I have already recorded these words: “And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised both his hands.”
