(664) بَابُ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ
664| The imam leading the people out for rain prayer
Hadith 1410
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّاسِ يَسْتَسْقِي فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَجَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ ، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ ، وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَاسْتَسْقَى ، وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ "
Hazrat ‘Abbad bin Tamim narrates from his uncle that he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out with the people to pray for rain, so he (peace be upon him) led them in two rak‘ahs and recited aloud, and he (peace be upon him) turned his cloak inside out, raised his hands and supplicated for rain, and faced the qiblah.
