Lady Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the freeing of slaves at the time of a solar eclipse. The Imam reports from the chain of narration of Janab Darawardi, in which the words are that he ordered the freeing of slaves at the time of a solar eclipse.
Bishr Taykah, if the narrated hadith in this chain is authentic, because I do not think that Abu Qilabah heard from Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him), and I have also not been able to find out whether Qabeesah is a companion or not.

Hazrat Qabeesah Bijli (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that when the sun was eclipsed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed two rak‘ahs until the sun became bright again. Then he said: “Indeed, the sun and the moon are not eclipsed because of anyone’s death. Rather, they are two creations among the creations of Allah, and Allah makes whatever changes He wills in His creation. Then, when Allah manifests Himself for anything among His creation, it expresses humility and submissiveness. Therefore, whenever either the sun or the moon is eclipsed, perform prayer until it becomes bright again, or until Allah brings forth a new command regarding it.”

Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a solar eclipse. Then the narrator narrated the complete hadith. And he mentioned these words: "Then when Allah manifests His glory for something among His creation, that thing expresses humility before Allah."
