جماع أبواب صلاة الكسوفChapters on Eclipse Prayer
(653) بَابُ الدُّعَاءِ وَالرَّغْبَةِ إِلَى اللَّهِ فِي الْجُلُوسِ فِي آخِرِ صَلَاةِ الْكُسُوفِ حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ الشَّمْسُ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ قَدِ انْجَلَتْ قَبْلُ.
653| Supplication and turning to Allah while sitting at the end of the eclipse prayer until the sun clears if it hasn't cleared yet
Hadith 1394
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحُرِّ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُدْعَى حَنَشًا ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، وَيُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، نَا زُهَيْرٌ ، نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْحُرِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَكَمُ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُدْعَى حَنَشًا ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ أَحْمَدَ ، قَالَ : " كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَصَلَّى عَلِيٌّ بِالنَّاسِ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَالا : قَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ ، فَفَعَلَ كَفِعْلِهِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ يَدْعُو وَيَرْغَبُ حَتَّى انْكَشَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ " ، ثُمَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ كَذَلِكَ يَفْعَلُهُ ، قَالَ يُوسُفُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَ كَذَلِكَ
A man named Hanish narrates that once there was a solar eclipse, so Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in the eclipse prayer and then narrated the hadith further. Both of them said that when Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) stood for the second rak'ah, he performed it in the same manner as he had done in the first rak'ah, and then he sat in Tashahhud and began to turn towards Allah Almighty with devotion and supplication until the sun became bright again. Then he informed the people that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do the same. The words of (narrator) Yusuf are that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also did the same.
