Hadith 1373
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I was practicing archery with my arrows during the blessed time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when suddenly the sun was eclipsed. I put down my arrows and went towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When I reached him, he was standing, raising both his hands, glorifying Allah, proclaiming His greatness, praising Him, and supplicating until the eclipse was over. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited two surahs and led us in two rak‘ahs (units of prayer).
