(613) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي النَّوْمِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ
The chapter on the concession to sleep in the mosque
Hadith 1330
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، نَا يَحْيَى ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَعْزَبُ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I used to sleep in the Prophet’s Mosque during the night in the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), even though I was unmarried.
