(609) بَابُ كَرَاهَةِ الْمُرُورِ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ تُصَلَّى فِيهَا وَالْبَيَانِ أَنَّهُ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ
The chapter on the dislike of passing through mosques without praying in them, and that it is a sign of the Hour
Hadith 1326
نَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ يُوسُفُ : ابْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ الْبَجَلِيُّ ، وَقَالا : قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلَكِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لَقِيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ الصلاة السَّلامُ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يَمُرَّ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لا يُصَلِّي فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَأَنْ لا يُسَلِّمَ الرَّجُلُ إِلا عَلَى مَنْ يَعْرِفُ ، وَأَنْ يُبَرِّدَ الصَّبِيُّ الشَّيْخَ " . قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ : قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Abu Ju’d narrates that a man met Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, “O Ibn Mas’ud, peace be upon you.” So Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘Indeed, among the signs of the Hour is that a man will pass by the mosque and will not perform even two rak’ahs in it, and a man will greet only those whom he knows. And the child will consider the elders as insignificant and inferior.’ In the narration of Ahmad bin Uthman, it is mentioned that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said.”
