(606) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ التَّبَاهِيَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ
The chapter on the evidence that boasting about mosques is a sign of the Hour
Hadith 1322
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، نَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ بِالْمَسَاجِدِ "
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the signs of the Hour is that people will boast and take pride regarding the mosques."
Hadith 1323
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، نَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، وَأَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until people begin to boast and take pride in (the construction and adornment of) mosques."
