Hadith 1321
Hazrat Abu Qilabah Jarami narrates that we were going towards the place of Zawiyah with Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) when we passed by a mosque while the time for the morning prayer had already come. So Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "If we pray in this mosque (it would be better), because some people pray in another mosque." They asked, "Which mosque?" So we mentioned a mosque. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'A time will come upon the people when they will take pride in their mosques. They will not populate them except a little.' Or he said: 'They will populate them very little.'" Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that "Zawiyah" is a place two farsakhs from Basrah (where Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) had land and a house).
