The chapter on the prohibition of passing through the mosque with arrows unless holding the tips
Hadith 1316
نَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَمْرِو بْنَ دِينَارٍ : أَسَمِعْتَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِرَجُلٍ مَرَّ بِأَسْهُمٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ : " أَمْسِكْ بِنِصَالِهَا " قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، هَذَا حَدِيثُ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ
Ibn Uyaynah says that I asked Amr bin Dinar, "Have you heard Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate this hadith, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to a man who was passing through the mosque with arrows, 'Hold them by their tips'?" Amr bin Dinar said, "Yes, I have heard this hadith from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him)." This hadith is from Makhzumi.
Hadith 1317
نَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، نَا شُعَيْبٌ ، نَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ أَمَرَ رَجُلا كَانَ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِالنَّبْلِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ أَلا يَمُرَّ بِهَا إِلا وَهُوَ آخِذٌ بِنِصَالِهَا "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed a man, who was distributing arrows in the mosque, to hold the arrowheads while passing through the mosque.
