(597) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِإِعْمَاقِ الْحَفْرِ لِلنُّخَامَةِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ
The chapter on the command to dig deep for phlegm in the mosque
Hadith 1310
نَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، نَا أَبُو مَوْدُودٍ وَهُوَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الأَسْلَمِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ دَخَلَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ فَبَزَقَ فِيهِ أَوْ تَنَخَّمَ فَلْيَحْفُرْ فِيهِ فَلْيُبْعِدْ ، فَلْيَدْفِنْهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ فَلْيَبْزُقْ فِي ثَوْبِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجْ بِهِ "
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever enters this mosque and spits or throws nasal secretions, he should dig a deep hole and bury it in it, and if he cannot do so, then he should spit into his garment and take it outside."
