جماع أبواب صلاة التطوع فى السفر على الدوابChapters on Voluntary Prayers on Mounts while Traveling
(568) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْبَيَانِ ضِدَّ قَوْلِ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا صَلَّى عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ تَطَوُّعًا حَيْثُ مَا تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ إِذَا كَانَتْ مُتَوَجِّهَةً نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ
The chapter clarifying against those who claimed the Prophet only prayed on his mount facing the qiblah
Hadith 1266
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الدِّرْهَمِيُّ ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْبِسْطَامِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ مُتَوَجِّهًا إِلَى تَبُوكَ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying on his mount facing towards Tabuk.
Hadith 1267
حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا يَحْيَى ، نَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ مُتَوَجِّهًا مِنْ مَكَّةَ ، فَنَزَلَتْ : أَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray on his mount facing towards (Madinah Munawwarah) from Makkah Mukarramah. Then this verse was revealed « فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ » [ سورة البقرة : 115 ] "Wherever you turn, there is the Face of Allah."
