جماع أبواب صلاة التطوع قاعداChapters on Voluntary Prayers while Sitting
(552) بَابُ ذِكْرِ مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَصَّ بِهِ نَبِيَّهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْمُصْطَفَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَاعِدًا فَجَعَلَ صَلَاتَهُ قَاعِدًا كَالصَّلَاةِ قَائِمًا فِي الْأَجْرِ
The chapter on what Allah granted His Prophet, making his sitting prayer equal in reward to standing
Hadith 1237
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ هِلالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي جَالِسًا ، قُلْتُ : حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّكَ ، تَقُولُ : " إِنَّ صَلاةَ الْجَالِسِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلاةَ الْقَائِمِ ، قَالَ : أَجَلْ ، وَلَكِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ " ، هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، لَمْ يَقُلْ بُنْدَارٌ : قَالَ : " أَجَلْ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) praying while sitting, so I said, "I have been told that you (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Indeed, the reward of the one who prays sitting is half of that of the one who prays standing.'" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes," but I am not like any one of you. These are the words of Abu Musa's hadith. Janab Bundar did not say "Yes."
