(546) بَابُ صَلَاةِ الضُّحَى فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ
The chapter on praying Duha in congregation
Hadith Q1231
وَفِيهِ بَيَانُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ صَلَّى الضُّحَى فِي غَيْرِ الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَقْدَمُ فِيهِ مِنَ الْغَيْبَةِ
And in this, it is mentioned that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed the Duha prayer on days other than the day of return from travel.
Hadith 1231
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى فِي بَيْتِهِ سُبْحَةَ الضُّحَى ، فَقَامُوا وَرَاءَهُ فَصَلَّوْا فِي بَيْتِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : فِي بَيْتِهِ يَعْنِي بَيْتَ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Itban bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the Duha prayer in his house, so the noble Companions also stood behind him, and all of them performed the Duha prayer in his house. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the house referred to is the house of Sayyiduna Itban bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
