Hadith 1164
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، نَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً " . حَدَّثَنَاهُ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِمِثْلِهِ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray thirteen rak‘ahs (units) of (the night prayer) Tahajjud at night.
بَعْضُ مَنْ لَمْ يَتَبَحَّرِ الْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ خِلَافُ بَعْضِ أَخْبَارِ عَائِشَةَ فِي عَدَدِ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ
Some of those who have not deeply mastered knowledge think that it contradicts some of the reports of Aisha regarding the number of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) prayers at night.
Hadith 1164
بَعْضُ مَنْ لَمْ يَتَبَحَّرِ الْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ خِلَافُ بَعْضِ أَخْبَارِ عَائِشَةَ فِي عَدَدِ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ
Some of those who have not deeply mastered knowledge think that it contradicts some of the reports of Aisha regarding the number of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) prayers at night.

Hadith 1165
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأُمَوِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْعَتَمَةِ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed thirteen rak‘ahs after the ‘Isha prayer.
