جماع أبواب صلاة التطوع بالليلChapters on Night Voluntary Prayers
(493) بَابُ فَضْلِ قِرَاءَةِ أَلْفِ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ إِنْ صَحَّ الْخَبَرُ،
The chapter on the virtue of reciting one thousand verses in a night, if the report is authentic
Hadith Q1144
فَإِنِّي لَا أَعْرِفُ أَبَا سَوِيَّةَ بِعَدَالَةٍ وَلَا جَرْحٍ
If the narration reported about this matter is authentic, because I do not know of any authentication or criticism regarding Abu Suwayyah.
Hadith 1144
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَوِيَّةَ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ حُجَيْرَةَ يُخْبِرُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ : عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَامَ بِعَشْرِ آيَاتٍ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ ، وَمَنْ قَامَ بِمِائَةِ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ ، وَمَنَ قَرَأَ بِأَلْفِ آيَةٍ كُتِبَ مِنَ الْمُقَنْطِرِينَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites ten verses during the night prayer will not be written among the heedless, and whoever stands (in prayer) reciting one hundred verses will be written among the obedient, and whoever prays reciting one thousand verses will be written among those who have attained great goodness and blessings."
