جماع أبواب صلاة التطوع بالليلChapters on Night Voluntary Prayers
(492) بَابُ فَضْلِ قِرَاءَةِ مِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ إِذْ قَارِئُهَا يُكْتَبُ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ الْمُخْلِصِينَ
The chapter on the virtue of reciting two hundred verses in a night, as such a person is written among the devout and sincere
Hadith 1143
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سَلْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ سَلْمَانَ الأَغَرِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَلَّى فِي لَيْلَةٍ بِمِائَةِ آيَةِ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى فِي لَيْلَةٍ بِمِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ فَإِنَّهُ يُكْتَبُ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ الْمُخْلِصِينَ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs prayer at night reciting one hundred verses will not be recorded among the heedless, and whoever performs prayer at night reciting two hundred verses will be recorded among the sincere and obedient."
