جماع أبواب صلاة التطوع بالليلChapters on Night Voluntary Prayers
(491) بَابُ ذِكْرِ فَضِيلَةِ قِرَاءَةِ مِائَةِ آيَةٍ فِي صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ، إِذْ قَارِئُ مِائَةِ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ لَا يُكْتَبُ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ
The chapter on the virtue of reciting one hundred verses in night prayer, as such a person is not written among the heedless
Hadith 1142
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مِائَةَ أَيَّةٍ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ ، أَوْ كُتِبَ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ " وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَفْضَلُ الْكَلامِ أَرْبَعَةٌ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever guards these obligatory prayers will not be written among the heedless. And whoever recites one hundred verses in a night will also not be counted among the heedless, or he will be written among the obedient." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best and most exalted words are four: « سُبْحَانَ اللَٰه » 'Allah is Pure,' and « الحَمْدُ لِلَٰه » 'All praise is for Allah,' and « لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله » 'There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah,' and « اللهُ أَكْبَرُ » 'Allah is the Greatest.'"
