(490) بَابُ ذِكْرِ أَقَلِّ مَا يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي قِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ
The chapter on the minimum recitation required in night prayer
Hadith 1141
نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ "
Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him.”
