جماع أبواب الركعتين قبل الفجر وما فيها من السننChapters on Two Rak‘ahs before Fajr and their Sunnahs
(473) بَابُ قَضَاءِ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ
The chapter on making up the two units before Fajr after sunrise
Hadith Q1118
إِذَا نَامَ الْمَرْءُ عَنْهُمَا فَلَمْ يَسْتَيْقِظْ إِلَّا بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ
When the one praying misses performing them due to sleep or remains asleep, and wakes up after the sun has risen.
Hadith 1118
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أَعْرَسْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نَسْتَيْقِظْ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لِيَأْخُذْ كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ بِرَأْسِ رَاحِلَتِهِ ؛ فَإِنَّ هَذَا مَنْزِلٌ حَضَرَنَا فِيهِ الشَّيْطَانُ " ، فَفَعَلْنَا ، فَدَعَا بِالْمَاءِ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى سَجْدَتَيْنِ حِينَ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاةُ ، وَصَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we camped for rest with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the last part of the night, then we only woke up after the sun had risen. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everyone, take hold of your mount's reins (and move from here), for Satan has come to us at this place (and our prayer has been missed)." Thus, we complied with the order. (After moving a little ahead) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for water, performed ablution, then after the call to prayer, offered two units of Sunnah, and led the Fajr prayer.
