جماع أبواب الركعتين قبل الفجر وما فيها من السننChapters on Two Rak‘ahs before Fajr and their Sunnahs
(479) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ قِرَاءَةِ (قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ) وَ (قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ) فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ
The chapter on the recommendation to recite "Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad" and "Qul Ya Ayyuha Al-Kafirun" in the two units before Fajr
Hadith 1114
حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْرَقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعًا قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ ، لا يَدَعُهُمَا قَالَتْ : وَكَانَ يَقُولُ : " نِعْمَتِ السُّورَتَانِ يُقْرَأُ بِهِمَا فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ : قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ، وَ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ "
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform four units of Sunnah prayer before Zuhr, and two units before the Asr prayer, and he never omitted them. She also states that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "The best surahs that are recited in the two units before Fajr are « قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ » and « قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ »."
