(467) بَابُ وَقْتِ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ
The chapter on the time for the two units before Fajr
Hadith 1111
نَا سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ إِذَا أَضَاءَ الْفَجْرُ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the noble wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), informed me that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to perform the two Sunnah rak‘ahs of Fajr when the dawn had become bright.
