(431) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِسَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ إِذَا نَسِيَ الْمُصَلِّي شَيْئًا مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ
The chapter on the command for two prostrations of forgetfulness if something is forgotten in prayer
Hadith 1033
نَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُسَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ مُصْعَبَ بْنَ شَيْبَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ نَسِيَ شَيْئًا مِنْ صَلاتِهِ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ " . هَكَذَا قَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى : عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : وَهَذَا الشَّيْخُ يَخْتَلِفُ أَصْحَابُ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ فِي اسْمِهِ . قَالَ حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَهَذَا الصَّحِيحُ حَسَبُ عِلْمِي
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Whoever forgets something in his prayer should perform two prostrations while sitting." Abu Musa has mentioned the name of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far's student as 'Uqbah bin Muhammad bin Harith. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that there is a difference among the companions of Ibn Jurayj regarding the name of this shaykh ('Uqbah bin Muhammad). Hajjaj bin Muhammad and 'Abdur Razzaq have mentioned his name as 'Uqbah bin Muhammad. To my knowledge, this is correct. There is a difference among the companions of Ibn Jurayj regarding the name. Hajjaj bin Muhammad and 'Abdur Razzaq have mentioned his name as 'Uqbah bin Muhammad. To my knowledge, this is correct.
