Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we camped with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) during a journey in the last part of the night, but we did not wake up until the sun had risen. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everyone should take hold of the reins of his mount (and set off), for indeed, Satan has come to our place of encampment." So we complied with the command. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for water, performed ablution, then offered two units of Sunnah prayer, then the call for the obligatory prayer (iqamah) was given, and he led us in the morning (Fajr) prayer.

Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the narration of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), these words are present: so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered two units of prayer, then performed the Fajr prayer. In the narration of Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him), it is also mentioned in the same way.
