Hadith Q964
A narration in this regard, in understanding the meaning of which some non-jurist individuals have made a mistake, therefore, they have interpreted this hadith according to its apparent meaning: that it is only permissible to combine the Maghrib and Isha prayers when the traveler is in a hurry during the journey.
Hadith 964
Imam Sufyan narrates that I heard Imam Zuhri saying at the beginning of repetition and teaching of hadith that if I wished, I could swear a hundred times that I heard this hadith from Hazrat Salim, and he narrates from his noble father, Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in a hurry during a journey, he (peace be upon him) would combine the Maghrib and Isha prayers.
Hadith 965
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that when he (peace be upon him) was in a hurry during travel, he (peace be upon him) would combine and perform the Maghrib and Isha prayers together. Janab Yahya narrated the words "Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)" instead of "Prophet (peace be upon him)".
