(374) بَابُ نَفْيِ قَبُولِ صَلَاةِ الْمَرْأَةِ الْغَاضِبَةِ لِزَوْجِهَا، وَصَلَاةِ الْعَبْدِ الْآبِقِ
374 Chapter: Denial of Acceptance of the Prayer of a Wife Angry with Her Husband and of a Runaway Slave.
Hadith 940
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلاثَةٌ لا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ صَلاةً وَلا يَصْعَدُ لَهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ : الْعَبْدُ الآبِقُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى مَوَالِيهِ ، فَيَضَعُ يَدَهُ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ السَّاخِطُ عَلَيْهَا زَوْجُهَا حَتَّى يَرْضَى ، وَالسَّكْرَانُ حَتَّى يَصْحُوَ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three persons whose prayer is not accepted and neither do their good deeds ascend (to the heavens): the runaway slave until he returns to his masters and places his hand in their hands (i.e., becomes obedient to them), the woman whose husband is angry with her until he becomes pleased with her, and the intoxicated person until he regains his senses."
Hadith 941
نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْصُورُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْغَدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَبَقَ الْعَبْدُ لَمْ يُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلاةٌ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى مَوَالِيهِ "
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "When a slave runs away, none of his prayers are accepted until he returns to his masters."
