(359) بَابُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ قَوْلِ الْمُتَثَائِبِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ: هَاهْ وَمَا أَشْبَهَهُ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَضْحَكُ فِي جَوْفِهِ عِنْدَ قَوْلِهِ: هَاهْ
359 Chapter: Prohibition of Saying "Haah" or Similar When Yawning in Prayer, for Satan Laughs at It.
Hadith 921
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ ، نَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْعُطَاسُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ، وَالتَّثَاؤُبُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلا يَقُلْ : هَاهْ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَضْحَكُ فِي جَوْفِهِ "
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sneezing is from Allah and yawning is from Satan. Therefore, when any one of you feels like yawning, he should not say 'Haah', because (by this) Satan laughs in his belly."
Hadith 922
حَدَّثَنَا الصَّنْعَانِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، نَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ ، وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ ، فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلا يَقُلْ : آهْ آهْ ؛ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَضْحَكُ مِنْهُ ، أَوْ قَالَ : يَلْعَبُ بِهِ "
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah likes sneezing and dislikes yawning. So when any one of you yawns, he should not make the sound 'Ah, Ah,' because Satan laughs at this, or he (the Prophet) said: 'He plays with him because of it.'"
