Hadith Q902
Provided that the narration reported in this regard is authentic, because there is a difference among the narrators in this matter.
Hadith 902
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I had such a status and position with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that no one else among the people had. Indeed, I would come to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and greet him with salam, and even if he was in the state of prayer, he would respond to me by coughing, so I would return to my family. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in this hadith, the narrators have reported a difference from Abd bin Naji. Therefore, I do not remember anyone except Sharjeel bin Mudrik who has mentioned the father of Abd bin Naji as an intermediary. (That is, the rest of the narrators mention Abdullah bin Naji as a direct student of Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him.)
Hadith 903
The Imam mentions the chain of another of his teachers in which there is no intermediary between Abdullah bin Naji and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), rather Abdullah bin Naji narrates directly from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Jarir says that Mughira and Ammara narrate from Harith the words of saying "Subhan Allah". Whereas Abu Bakr bin Ayyash narrates from Mughira the words "clearing the throat".
Hadith 904
The Imam narrates the aforementioned words "Subhan Allah" and "clearing the throat" from his teachers, Yusuf bin Musa, Al-Durqi, and Muhammad bin Yahya, through their chains of narration.
