Hadith 823
نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا نَائِمَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ الْوِتْرُ أَيْقَظَنِي " . حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَتْ : " مُعْتَرِضَةٌ كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ "
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray at night while I would be lying between him and the Qiblah. Then, when he would pray Witr, he would wake me up. In the narration of Ahmad bin Abadah, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: (and I would be lying between him and the Qiblah) like a corpse.
