Hadith Q813
And the explanation of the evidence that it is better to stand for a long time waiting for the praying person to finish his prayer rather than passing in front of him.
Hadith 813
Hazrat Basar bin Saeed narrates that Zaid bin Khalid sent me to Hazrat Abu Juhaim (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask what sin is incurred by a person who passes in front of someone performing prayer. He replied that if he were to stand for forty (years or days), it would be better for him than passing in front of the one praying.
Hadith 814
Imam Sahib narrates from his two respected teachers, Ahmad bin Mani’ and Muhammad bin Rafi’, with their chain of transmission, from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If any one of you were to realize the sin of passing in front of his brother from the width while he is supplicating to his Lord, then it would be better for him to stand in that place for a hundred years than to take even a single step.” This is the narration of Ibn Mani’.
