(247) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِمَسْأَلَةِ الرَّبِّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَوَاتِ، الْمَعُونَةَ عَلَى ذِكْرِهِ وَشُكْرِهِ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِهِ، وَالْوَصِيَّةِ بِذَلِكَ.
247 Chapter: Command to Ask the Lord Almighty after Prayers for Help in Remembering, Thanking, and Worshipping Him Well, and the Recommendation to Do So.
Hadith 751
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ الْعَطَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقْرِئُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا بِيَدِي ، فَقَالَ لِي : " يَا مُعَاذُ ، وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكَ " ، فَقُلْتُ : بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي ، وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكَ ، قَالَ : " يَا مُعَاذُ إِنِّي أُوصِيكَ ، لا تَدَعَنَّ أَنْ تَقُولَ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلاةٍ : اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ " . وَأَوْصَى بِذَلِكَ مُعَاذٌ الصُّنَابِحِيَّ ، وَأَوْصَى بِهِ الصُّنَابِحِيُّ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ ، وَأَوْصَى بِهِ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ مُسْلِمٍ
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took my hand and said, "O Mu'adh, by Allah, indeed I love you." So I said, "May my parents be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, indeed I also love you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Mu'adh, I advise you that you never leave supplicating this after every prayer" « اللّٰهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ، وَشُكْرِكَ، وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ » "O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner." Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) advised this to his student Sanabihi, and Sanabihi advised it to his student Abu Abdur Rahman Hubli, and Abu Abdur Rahman advised it to Uqbah bin Muslim.
