جماع أبواب الأذان والإقامةChapters on Adhan and Iqamah
(246) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ التَّهْلِيلِ بَعْدَ التَّسْبِيحِ وَالتَّحْمِيدِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ بَعْدَ السَّلَامِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ تَكْمِلَةَ الْمِائَةِ، وَمَا يُرْجَى فِي ذَلِكَ مِنْ مَغْفِرَةِ الذُّنُوبِ السَّالِفَةِ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ كَثِيرَةً.
246 Chapter: Recommending Saying "La ilaha illa Allah" after "Subhanallah," "Alhamdulillah," and "Allahu Akbar" after Salam to Complete One Hundred, and the Hope for Forgiveness of Past Sins Even if Many.
Hadith 750
نا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، نا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ سَبَّحَ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلاةٍ ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثِينَ ، وَكَبَّرَ اللَّهَ ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثِينَ ، وَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثِينَ ، فَذَلِكَ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ تَمَامَ الْمِائَةِ : لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمَلَكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، غُفِرَتْ لَهُ خَطَايَاهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates from the Noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم that he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Whoever recites « سُبْحَانَ اللَٰه » thirty-three times, « الحَمْدُ لِلَٰه » thirty-three times, and « اللهُ أَكْبَرُ » thirty-three times after the prayer, this makes ninety-nine times. Then, to complete the count to one hundred, he recites « لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَٰهُ وَحْدَهُ ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ » 'There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, all sovereignty and all praise belong to Him, and He has power over all things.' — his sins will be forgiven even if they are as much as the foam of the sea."
