Hadith 743
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished his prayer, he would say salam, then recite this supplication, « اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَفْتُ وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ » "O Allah, forgive my earlier and later sins, my hidden and open sins, and whatever wrong I have done to myself, and the sins which You know better than I do. You are the Advancer and the Delayer. There is no true deity except You." In the narration of Abu Salih, it is: "There is no deity for me except You."
Hadith 744
Sayyiduna Abu Malik Ashja'i narrates from his noble father that we used to come to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the morning, and men and women would come to him and ask, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), when I have performed the prayer, which supplication should I recite?" He (peace be upon him) said: "Recite this" « اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاھْدِنِی وَعَافِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي » "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me well-being, and provide for me."

Hazrat Ata bin Abi Marwan narrates from his esteemed father that Sayyiduna Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) swore by the One who parted the sea for Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), that indeed we find in the Torah that when Allah’s Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) would finish his prayer, he would recite this supplication, « اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي الَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ لِي عِصْمَةً وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَاىَ الَّتِي جَعَلْتَ فِيهَا مَعَاشِي اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِعَفْوِكَ مِنْ نِقْمَتِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ » “O Allah, rectify for me my religion which You have made a means of protection for me (from punishment in the Hereafter), and rectify for me my worldly affairs in which You have provided me with means of livelihood. O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment and displeasure, and I seek refuge in You from You alone. O Allah, none can withhold what You grant, and none can grant what You withhold, and the wealth of any wealthy person cannot benefit him against You.” He says, and Sayyiduna Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me that the Companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him), narrated to him that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite this supplication after completing his prayer.
