(190) بَابُ تَرْكِ التَّمَدُّدِ فِي السُّجُودِ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ رَفْعِ الْبَطْنِ عَنِ الْفَخِذَيْنِ.
Chapter 190: Avoiding stretching out in prostration and preferring to raise the abdomen off the thighs
Hadith 647
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، وَالْيُسَرِيُّ بْنُ مَزْيَدٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ وَهُوَ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا صَلَّى جَخَّى " . قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْيُسَرِيُّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ النَّضْرُ : جَخَّ الَّذِي لا يَتَمَدَّدُ فِي رُكُوعِهِ ، وَلا فِي سُجُودِهِ . قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ مَنْصُورٍ الْمَرْوَزِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ النَّضْرُ : وَالْعَرَبُ تَقُولُ : هُوَ جَخٌّ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed prayer, he would keep his stomach away from his thighs and his arms away from his sides. Sirri states that "junuh" refers to one who does not spread out during his bowing and prostration. Nadr says: The Arabs say, "He is junuh," meaning he is hunchbacked.
