Chapter 189: Raising the buttocks in prostration
Hadith 646
نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : وَصَفَ لَنَا الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ عَازِبٍ السُّجُودَ ، " فَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ بِالأَرْضِ ، وَرَفَعَ عَجِيزَتَهُ " ، وَقَالَ : هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ
Abu Ishaq narrates that Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) described to us the manner of prostration. He placed both his hands on the ground and raised his buttocks upwards and said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prostrating in this manner.
