(143) بَابُ ذِكْرِ خَبَرٍ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تَكْبِيرِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فِي كُلِّ خَفْضٍ وَرَفْعٍ بِلَفْظٍ عَامٍّ مُرَادُهُ خَاصٌّ.
Chapter 143: Report of the Prophet saying "Allahu Akbar" at every lowering and raising in prayer, with a general wording
Hadith 576
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، أنا رَوْحُ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ أَيْضًا الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، نا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَيَّانَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ صَلاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كُلَّمَا وَضَعَ ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كُلَّمَا رَفَعَ " . هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ مَنِيعٍ : عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ " كُلَّمَا رَفَعَ وَوَضَعَ ، وَزَادَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ يَمِينِهِ " ، " السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ يَسَارِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : اخْتَلَفَ أَصْحَابُ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى فِي هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، خَرَّجْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِ الْكَبِيرِ
It is narrated from Wasih bin Hayan that he asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said, "Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand up or bow down, he would say « اللهُ أَكْبَرُ »." And he added, "Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say « السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ » to his right side and « السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ » to his left side as well." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the students of Amr bin Yahya have differed in this chain; they say that they asked Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim. I have mentioned this in Kitab al-Kabir.
Hadith 577
نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَجُلا عِنْدَ الْمَقَامِ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفَعٍ وَوَضْعٍ ، فَأَتَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : " إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَجُلا يُصَلِّي وَيُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفْعٍ وَوَضْعٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَوَلَيْسَ تِلْكَ صَلاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، لا أُمَّ لَكَ ؟ "
Hazrat Ikrimah narrates that I saw a man near Maqam Ibrahim (during prayer) saying takbeer at every rising and bowing, so I went to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said, "I saw a man praying who says « اللهُ أَكْبَرُ » at every rising and bowing?" He replied, "May your mother die! Is this not the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?"
