Hadith Q561
Contrary to the claim of some ignorant people of our era, who are unable to comprehend knowledge and say that it is not permissible to perform prostration upon reciting a verse of prostration during an obligatory prayer.
Hadith 561
Hazrat Abu Rafi’ narrates that I offered the ‘Isha prayer with Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he recited « إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انشَقَّتْ » [ سورة الإنشقاق ] and performed a prostration. I asked him, “What is this prostration?” He replied, “I performed prostration in this Surah behind Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him).” San‘ani, narrating from his father, added at the end with these words: “I will continue to perform prostration in this Surah until I meet (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) on the Day of Judgment.” Abu al-Ash‘ath says that « عن ابيه عن بكر بن عبدالله » he says: “I offered prayer behind Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), and he performed prostration in this Surah, so I will continue to perform prostration in this Surah until I meet Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him).”
