جماع أبواب الأذان والإقامةChapters on Adhan and Iqamah
(134) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ سُجُودِ الْمُسْتَمِعِ لِقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ عِنْدَ قِرَاءَةِ الْقَارِئِ السَّجْدَةَ إِذَا سَجَدَ.
Chapter 134: Recommendation for the listener to prostrate when the reciter does so
Hadith 557
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا الْقُرْآنَ ، فَيَقْرَأُ السُّورَةَ فِيهَا سَجْدَةٌ ، فَيَسْجُدُ ، وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ ، حَتَّى لا يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا مَكَانًا لِجَبِينِهِ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to recite the Qur'an to us. When he (peace be upon him) would recite a surah in which there was a verse of prostration, he (peace be upon him) would perform sajdah and we would also perform sajdah with him (peace be upon him), to the extent that some of us would not find space to place our foreheads.
Hadith 558
نَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، نا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ السَّجْدَةَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَيَسْجُدُ ، وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى يَزْحَمَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when we would recite a verse of prostration in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he would perform prostration and we would also perform prostration with him, to the extent that (due to lack of space) we would push each other.
