Chapter 129: Prostration upon reciting Surah Sad
Hadith 550
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، نا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " ص لَيْسَتْ مِنْ عَزَائِمِ السُّجُودِ ، وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ فِيهَا " . هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the prostration of « سورۃ ص » is not among the obligatory prostrations, and indeed I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing prostration in it. These are the words of the hadith of Abdul Wahhab.
