(114) بَابُ الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ فِي السَّفَرِ.
Chapter 114: Recitation in Isha while traveling
Hadith 524
نا بُنْدَارٌ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، نا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مهدي ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَدِيٍّ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ ، يَقُولُ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الآخِرَةَ ، فَقَرَأَ فِي إِحْدَى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بِ التِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ "
Adi bin Thabit narrates that I heard Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey, so he led the ‘Isha prayer, and in one of the (first) two rak‘ahs, he recited Surah « وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ » [ سورة التين ].
Hadith 525
أنا أَبُو طَالِبٍ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ الطَّائِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، نا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ ، يَقُولُ : " صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الآخِرَةَ ، فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا بِ التِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ "
Abu Ishaq narrates that I heard Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed prayer during a journey, and in the ‘Isha prayer he recited Surah « وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ » [ سورة التين ].
