(22) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ تَعْجِيلِ صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ.
Chapter 22: Recommendation to hasten Maghrib prayer
Hadith 337
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَغْرِبَ ، ثُمَّ نَأْتِي بَنِي سَلِمَةَ فَنُبْصِرُ مَوَاقِعَ النَّبْلِ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that we used to perform the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet (peace be upon him), then we would come to the locality of Banu Salamah and we could still see the places where the arrows had fallen.
Hadith 338
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ الْمُخَرَّمِيُّ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا " يُصَلُّونَ الْمَغْرِبَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُونَ فَيَرَى أَحَدُهُمْ مَوَاقِعَ نَبْلِهِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that they (the noble Companions, may Allah be pleased with them) used to perform the Maghrib prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then they would return (to their homes), and one of them could still see the places where his arrows had fallen.
