(17) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ بِقَوْلِهِ: " الصَّلَاةُ فِي أَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا " بَعْضَ الصَّلَاةِ دُونَ جَمِيعِهَا، وَبَعْضَ الْأَوْقَاتِ دُونَ جَمِيعِ الْأَوْقَاتِ،
Chapter 17: Evidence that the Prophet (peace be upon him) meant by "prayer at the beginning of its time" only some prayers and times, not all
Hadith Q328
إِذْ قَدْ أَخْبَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَبْرِيدِ الظُّهْرِ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ، وَقَدْ أَعْلَمَ أَنَّ لَوْلَا ضَعْفُ الضَّعِيفِ، وَسَقَمُ السَّقِيمِ لَأَخَّرَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ إِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ.
Because the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) informed about performing the Zuhr prayer later during intense heat, and he also stated that if it were not for considering the weakness of the weak and the illness of the sick, he (peace be upon him) would have delayed the Isha prayer until midnight.
Hadith 328
نا بُنْدَارُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، نا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ يُحَدِّثُهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَبْرِدْ أَبْرِدْ " ، أَوْ قَالَ : " انْتَظِرِ انْتَظِرْ " ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ ، فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلاةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ : حَتَّى رَأَيْنَا فَيْءَ التُّلُولِ
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Mu’adhdhin of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called the adhan for Dhuhr, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Cool it, cool it,” or he said, “Wait, wait.” Then he said: “Indeed, the severity of heat is from the steam of Hell, so when the heat is intense, cool the prayer.” Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: (Therefore, we would perform the Dhuhr prayer) when we saw the shade of the mounds.
Hadith 329
نا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، وسَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيِّ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "When the heat becomes intense, delay the prayer until it cools down, for the severity of heat is from the steam of Hell."
Hadith 330
نا بُنْدَارُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ يَعْنِي الثَّقَفِيَّ ، نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ ، فَأَبْرِدُوا الصَّلاةَ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, the severity of heat is from the steam of Hell. Perform the prayer after cooling down during intense heat."
Hadith 331
نا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ دَاوُدَ الْخُرَيْبِيَّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِي اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهَا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَبْرِدُوا الظُّهْرَ فِي الْحَرِّ "
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "In the heat, delay the Zuhr prayer until it becomes cooler."
