Hadith 323
Hazrat Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrates from his father that he said: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and asked him about the times of the prayers. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Pray with us (you will come to know the times)." Then, when the sun declined, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed the Zuhr prayer, and it is said that he performed the Asr prayer while the sun was high and bright, and he performed the Maghrib prayer at sunset, and the Isha prayer when the twilight disappeared, and the Fajr prayer in darkness. Then, when the next day came, the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to give the call to prayer for Zuhr, and he delayed it, so he delayed it well, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered him to give the Iqamah for Asr prayer while the sun was alive (very bright). The Prophet (peace be upon him) performed it later than the previous day, and he ordered him to give the Iqamah for Maghrib prayer before the redness disappeared, and he ordered him to establish the Isha prayer after a third of the night had passed, and by the order of the Prophet (peace be upon him), he established the Fajr prayer in brightness. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Where is the one who asked about the time of the prayers?" He replied: I am present, O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The times of your prayers are between what you have seen (in these two days)." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I did not find these words in my book from Zafrani: "Maghrib on the second day."

Hadith 324
Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding the times of prayer. Bundar did not narrate more than this. Bundar says that when I mentioned this to Abu Dawood, he said that the narrator of this narration deserves to have the funeral prayer performed over him. Bundar says that then I erased this narration from my book. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that funeral prayer should be performed over Abu Dawood because he made a mistake. And Bundar should be given ten lashes for erasing this hadith from his book. This hadith is authentic, as Thawri has also narrated it from Alqamah. Abu Dawood made a mistake and Bundar altered it. This hadith is authentic. Thawri has also narrated it from Alqamah. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates the complete hadith with the chain of Harami bin Ammarah. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this hadith refutes the claim of the Iraqis that if someone confesses before the ruler that so-and-so owes him between one and ten dirhams, then eight dirhams will be obligatory upon him. In this way, they have turned this impossible matter into a lengthy chapter. And they have based countless subsidiary issues on this incorrect ruling. Their statement necessitates that Jibreel (peace be upon him) taught the Prophet (peace be upon him) the five prayers for two days and two nights without their appointed times. Because the implication of their statement is that the times of prayer are between the first and second time, and the first and second time are outside the time of prayer, just as their claim is that before the ruler, one and ten dirhams are excluded from the confession of the confessor, and eight dirhams are between one and ten dirhams. I have already dictated such a lengthy issue.
